Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has dismissed  the new found political friendship between Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu claiming that it will not last long.

According to Mutambu, Kalonzo and Ngilu have decided to work together for their own selfish interests and not for the interests of Kamba people.

The Mwingi Central MP said that Kambas will not be fooled by Kalonzo and Ngilu's selfish political antics.

The lawmaker criticized Kalonzo and the Narc party leader accusing them of failing to promote development in the region for the many years they served in government.

“Kalonzo and Ngilu should stop fooling Kambas and tell us what they did to promote development in Ukambani when they served in previous governments,” he said as quoted by People Daily.

Mutambu said that Ukambani political dynamics have changed and that Kalonzo and Ngilu are no longer relevant.

“Kambas are tired with selfish leaders who only value their interests,” he added.

The Wiper rebel MP asked locals to remain and not to be swayed by politicians who only care for their interests.

On Monday Kalonzo and Ngilu buried their political differences and vowed to work together.

Ngilu who was suspended and later sacked by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Lands CS in 2015 over corruption allegations vowed to support NASA.

The Narc leader urged NASA to endorse Kalonzo’s candidature saying that he is the best suited candidate to send Jubilee government home.

Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party leader Wavinya Ndeti and People’s Trust Party (PTP) Mutua Katuku also vowed to support Kalonzo’s bid in NASA.

On Thursday, Kalonzo presented his presidential nomination papers to the Wiper Party National Election Board when he maintained that he is the best candidate to unseat Jubilee government.

The Wiper party leader also refuted claims that his party is contemplating quitting NASA accusing the media and some bloggers of fueling the malicious claims.
