Ngilu claims that some politicians are spreading propaganda to woo votes in the much anticipated 2017 general elections.

The former Lands CS asked aspirants eyeing various seats to campaign on issues instead of preaching hatred and propaganda.

Ngilu observed that propaganda politics will cause disunity among Kenyans.

The former CS said that politicians need to put the interest of Kenyans first even as they seek support.

Ngilu has declared interest to unseat Kitui governor Julius Malombe in the 2017 polls.

There have been claims that the former CS has accepted to work with the opposition ahead of 2017.

Meanwhile, the former Lands CS has accused the Jubilee government of allegedly being selective in the fight against corruption.

Ngilu said that graft will not end unless the government stops being selective. The former CS alleged that some people linked to corruption are still in government.

“The war on corruption will be won if there is no bias and selectivity on who to be arrested and prosecuted,” she said. Ngilu defended herself against corruption allegations that saw her suspended from the Uhuru Kenyatta government.

The former CS  was among several Cabinet Secretaries who were suspended last year (2015) after their ministries were linked to graft scandals.
