While speaking during a Thanksgiving ceremony held at P.C.E.A Kimuri church on Sunday, Nyokabi asked all the women to keep off from the demonstrations.

“We as women do not want to be used as the ongoing protests’ subjects. We have our roles as women and we should ensure that our dignity is respected,” she said.

Gathecha condemned the Cord leaders for their attempts to draw women into the streets with the aim of winning their support to throw the elector body out of the office.

“As politicians, we will know how to get the anti-IEBC supporters out of office in a systematic manner,” she added.

Nyokabi asked her fellow women to join hands and pray for peace in the country instead, saying she is hoping that evangelist Wanjiru wa Ngunjiri will hold her crusade at Uhuru Park during Madaraka celebrations.

Meanwhile, Cord supporters are planning to hold a parallel rally at Uhuru Park when President Uhuru Kenyatta will be addressing Kenyans at Afraha stadium in Nakuru.
