Eldoret Catholic Diocese Bishop Cornelius Korir has advised youths not to allow politicians to use them to cause violence during this campaign period.
Speaking at the Eldoret cathedral during the marking of Palm Sunday, Bishop Korir told youths to shun politicians out to use them for personal gains.
He further asked aspirants eyeing various elective positions to preach peace and unity during their campaigns.
"As much as policians are going round seeking for votes, they need to avoid utterances that might cause divisions amongst Kenyans because we need this country even after the elections," said Bishop Korir.
"The youths also need to be warry of politicians who have a tendency of using them to cause violence then end up destroying their country," he added.
The Bishop also challenged Kenyans not to allow themselves to be divided on tribal or regional lines by politicians.
