The business community in Kenya has urged citizens to resume work so as to compensate for the huge loses incurred last week due to elections.
In their congratulating president Uhuru Kenyatta on his reelection, the business leaders promised to work with all their elected leaders to improve the economy which has shown resilience through the election period.
According to Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) chairman Kiprono Kittony, no more time should be wasted in celebration or grief.
‘’The free fair and credible elections in the country has inspired great confidence within the business community. We must guard this confidence religiously to boost the country’s attractivenesses to both local and foreign investors,’’ said Kitonny.
‘’The business community will continue working with the government in accelerating job creation, youth empowerment and promoting both large and small business enterprises,” he added.
