Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has condemned the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders for telling their supporters to boycott some products and services by private companies.

He said the move was uncalled for and might lead to total economic sabotage and poverty.

“I did not think that we could come to this. It is the biggest threat to Kenya owned companies. Raila should accept defeat and retire peacefully rather than putting Kenyans in trouble,” he said in Eldoret town, Saturday.

“I want to urge Kenyans of good will not fall into NASA’s trap which will render people jobless and also cause big implications to the economy. For heaven sake our economy is now at 5 percent from 7 percent,” he added.

He, however, warned the opposition leaders against mixing politics with business.

This comes after National Resistance Movement leaders MPs listed Safaricom, Bidco, and Brookside as some of the firms whose products and services their supporters should boycott.
