Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi has cautioned Western leaders against joining Jubilee.
Mudavadi said ditching Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) for Jubilee is suicidal.
“I have read and seen media reports indicating that Ababu Namwamba after quitting ODM is headed to Jubilee. That amounts to killing your political career,” Mudvadi said.
He spoke when he made roadside rallies in Chavakali market, Vihiga County, a day before Cord leader Raila Odinga makes his tour of Western region.
While in some functions, Deputy President William Ruto admitted he was behind the mass departure of Western leaders from ODM, including the resignation of Ababu.
The statement was however quashed by Ababu who said he was organizing other Luhya leaders for some changes but had no intention of joining Jubilee.
Mudavadi called on leaders from Western Kenya to team up with him in ANC that has already taken root so they can create a strong third force.
“Creating a political party at this time and marketing it to the people is somehow a herculean task. I urge my brothers who quit ODM to come and join us,” he said.
