Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale has been warned of criticizing and attacking the opposition for he might need them in 2022.
Political analyst George Omanga, who believes that Jubilee will cling on to power in 2017 and no more in 2022, says Duale may need to jump ship.
He says that is the only way Duale will remain relevant in politics since there will be no more Jubilee in 2022.
“I want to warn the leader of Majority, National Assembly Aden Duale not to despise the opposition for he might just need it in 2022 to save his political career,” he says.
Omanga adds that with the end of Uhuru’s term, it will be hard to have Jubilee still in existence.
“The vibrant Jubilee Party will end with Uhuru’s reign. Ruto has made more enemies than he can handle. He faces rift back home. He is not assured of the Central support. With opponents such as Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi on the fore front then Ruto’s presidential journey is over,” he says.
The analyst says for that reason, Cord will be the dictating party and with greater influence than Jubilee party and they may remain in power for the next 20 years, something Duale should consider.
