Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru and a host of female leaders have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta not to engage opposition chief Raila Odinga in any dialogue.
The group also included Public Service CS Sicily Kariuki, nominated MP Cecily Mbarire, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Kiambu woman representatives Jane Wanjuki, Beatrice Nkatha and Gathoni Muchomba.
In a meeting of the Jubilee Women’s Brigade held in Embu on Thursday, Waiguru said the Constitution was clear and did not recognise dialogue.
She said Kenya is a democratic state and that the Constitution provides for universal suffrage.
“On October 26, we are saying the dialogue is over. The Constitution does not say two people should sit and decide who should be the President,” she said
The leaders said that the president has been patient with Raila and that the opposition is now riding on his patience to harm the country.
