Governors in Nyanza have vowed no election will take place in the region that vote for Opposition leader Raila Odinga as a block.
Raila has withdrawn from the Thursday's repeat presidential election saying IEBC was ill-prepared to guarantee a credible poll.
Led by Migori Governor Okoth Obado, the leaders said the election was 'illegal', calling on residents to boycott the election.
"Turning out to vote is disrespectful to Raila who has issues with the commission which is hell-bent to ensure Uhuru becomes the president," Obado said on Tuesday when held anti-election protests in his county.
Sending a similar message, Homa Bay county boss Cyprian Awiti cautioned residents against providing any service to the electoral agency on the polling day.
"We are sending a warning to residents who shall appear in polling stations that they should not do so because NASA leader Raila Odinga has told us to boycott the repeat poll," Awiti said, as quoted by the Nation.
