Malindi MP hopeful Philip Charo has asked NASA to keep off the Coast region saying residents support Jubilee and will overwhelmingly vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.Charo said Coast residents are tired of the opposition’s empty and rhetoric politics. The Jubilee aspirant said the region has gained nothing in the many years it has been supporting Raila Odinga.“NASA should not have any hopes of getting votes in Coast because as a region we are fully behind President Kenyatta’s re-election,” he said.Charo hit out at NASA leaders accusing them of double speak. He said NASA leaders have been in government for many years but did nothing to better the living standards of Coast people.Charo said the issues facing Coast region cannot be addressed by leaders who are hungry for power.“The issues of land, unemployment, political, social and economic injustices cannot be tackled by NASA,” he said.He claimed that NASA’s agenda is to get power and later abandon the interests of Kenyans. The Jubilee aspirant urged Coast residents to unite and cast their votes in favor of Jubilee.Charo at the same time asked his rivals in the Malindi parliamentary race to brace up for defeat.Charo will face off with Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa who is contesting on an ODM ticket.
