Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Sunday warned upcoming politicians that the newly launched Jubilee Party they are running to will not be fair to them during party nominations.
Moi said the party already has a list of politicians who will contest as Governors, Senators, MPs, Women Reps as well as MCAs in specific regions in the country during the 2017 polls.
"I have powerful friends within Jubilee and they do not hide anything from me," Moi wrote on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
"I want to sincerely say that I am deeply sorry for those upcoming politicians who think there is internal democracy in Jubilee. I am aware there is a list of preferred candidates for nearly all elective posts."
The Jubilee Party launched on September 10, in Kasarani Nairobi is the party that President Uhuru Kenyatta will ride on in defending his seat in 2017.
There is however, speculation that 'friendly' politicians to the party will be given direct nomination.
"They should stop wasting their time and hoping that there will be fairness in Jubilee and join our parties which can guarantee them fair nominations," Moi added.
Moi made the remarks a day after Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi warned that the new political outfit may experience a mass exodus of politicians after party nominations are over.
"People are laughing at Cord because of the defections but what they don’t know is that Jubilee will face more defections than Cord," he said at an event in his constituency on Saturday.
"We might be laughing at Cord now but they are likely to be the biggest beneficiaries of the defections that will rock Jubilee."
Independence party Kanu which Moi is a member is among parties that refused to fold up to join Jubilee Party.
There is speculation the senator might team up with ODM party leader Raila Odinga in 2017.
