Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has been challenged to perform well in his second term.
Residents of Ikonge area on Tuesday said from 2013, the governor has done too little and should focus on initiating more development projects across the county.
"Nyagarama's first term faced challenges such as corruption and illegal hiring of staff. We don't expect the same to happen in his second term and what we want is development," said Philip Morema.
Morema said most feeder roads are impassable especially during rainy season.
"Interior roads are yet to be upgraded. We are urging the governor to upgrade the roads, improve infrastructure at hospitals, schools and other social amenity centers such as churches," he added.
Gilbert Soire urged Nyagarama to maintain a good working relationship with MCAs to avoid leadership wrangles in the devolved unit.
"Nyagarama must have to work closely with ward representatives if at all he intends to be a performer," he said.
