The Jubilee camp in Mombasa has fired up President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election campaigns with Likoni MP Masoud Mwahima leading the charm offensive of the region.

Speaking in Bofu Ward, Likoni constituency on Tuesday, Mwahima, an ODM rebel, asked residents to support the President in his re-election bid as he had done a lot for the residents. While defending Uhuru's development record in the opposition-leaning county, Mwahima cited the expansion of the Port of Mombasa and the Standard Gauge Railway as Jubilee government's landmark developments in the county."The President has expanded the port, the Standard Gauge Railway has been constructed, our children do exams without having to pay the examination fees...Kindly, I ask you with respect, don't forget Uhuru. Please, don't forget Uhuru," said the veteran politician.Mwahima who defended his decision to join Jubilee said his move was aimed at bringing development as only Jubilee can bring development. He, however, denied ever receiving any money from Jubilee Party to ditch the Raila Odinga-led ODM.He accused Governor Hassan Joho of running down the county and asked residents to reject his second term bid and instead back Jubilee candidate Suleiman Shahbal.
