Speaking to the media at a Nyamira a hotel on Saturday , Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong’are Okong’o said the former Prime Minister who is renown as the father of democracy, has started to failing in his dream of transforming the country in terms of democracy.

Mongare said from the look of things, Raila seems to have forgotten what he has done for more than 40 years.

“Raila has been the father of democracy for more than 40 years but it seems that he has started failing and forgetting his mandate on what he has achieved. He should come out strongly and defend democracy as he has been doing in the past,” he said.

Mong’are warned that if the national issues which need redress are not tackled urgently, then Kenya risks going back to the dark days.

“Let us addresses national issues which are the main challenges to our country without politicising and complicating them," stated the senator.
