Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro amplified his campaigns to wrestle power from the incumbent, Governor Amason Kingi, with electrifying campaigns in Malindi constituency on Thursday.
Malindi is Mung'aro's political backyard having been an MP in the constituency for five years before Kilifi North was hived out of it in the run to the 2013 elections.Initially, he was Malindi Municipal Council Mayor. In a meeting with youth from the sub-county, the lawmaker challenged them to venture into political participation and leadership in order to address a myriad of challenges facing the youthful population. While urging them to be careful when casting their ballots during the August 8 polls, Mung'aro said time has come for the right type of leaders to be elected.Mung'aro who asked them to vote for Jubilee said that the Uhuru Kenyatta-led party has put in very many measures to address the issues affecting the youth. He asked youth in the region to reject Raila Odinga’s NASA coalition, adding that the opposition outfit which is keen to capture power has nothing new to offer. The MP further questioned the development record of the coalition heavyweights during their tenure in government. On county matters, Mung'aro castigated Kingi’s administration which he claimed has ignored the plight of youth. He asked them to support his governor bid, saying he has solutions to their problems.
