Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta to prepare for super political contest in 2017.
Kalonzo who spoke during the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Machakos said the Cord coalition was well prepared for the poll.
"Mr President don't get surprised when you go home next year," he said amid applause.
"Even the corruption that you are taking too long to fight, we shall deal with it."
Kalonzo was among opposition leaders who attended the event.
ODM party leader Raila Odinga skipped the celebrations as he flew to London where he is expected to address a meeting attended by scholars and political leaders.
Uhuru however, downplayed the warning and called on Kenyans to unite and work for the betterment of the country.
He said his government will not discriminate Kenyans on political inclination lines.
