Nominated Member of Parliament Cecily Mbarire has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to ignore calls for dialogue over the fresh election with NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking during a Jubilee campaign tour in Meru County, Mbarire told Kenyatta not to engage Raila because he (Raila) was out to frustrate his administration.

"I am asking our President not to give him an ear because he has said he is not ready for the election. Let Kenyans exercise their democratic right in peace," she said.

The legislator further said that the former Prime Minister has sensed defeat and was scheming for possible ways to be in Government.

"Raila has been a bother; he has disturbed us for a long time by calling for mass action and we do not know what he is up to now," Mbarire added.

She was accompanied by Women Representatives Kawira Mwangaza (Meru), Faith Gitau (Nyandarua), Jane Wanyuki (Embu) and Nyeri's Rahab Mukami.

Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka withdrew from the race to State House citing unfair playing ground.

On Tuesday, he told his supporters not to protest on the Election Day but stay at home.
