A Kisii County has urged with disabled children in the County to stop hiding them inside houses.
Protus Moindi, Bomariba ward representative on Wednesday speaking at his home area in Nyabimwa, Keboye sub location said disabled children should be exposed to society.
“Parents should bring out their disabled children to be with others and stop locking them inside houses. It is not a bad omen to have disabled children," he said.
He said the County government has a funds kitty to help disabled persons start small businesses to earn a living.
He promised to go round the ward to ensure no disabled person is locked inside houses.
"The disabled have talents that should be nurtured but hiding them in houses, their talents will not be realised," he said.
