This is after the County government lost Sh51 million, stolen through IFMIS, with five companies accused of looting the cash.

Ruto visited the County and called on Kingi's resignation if he fails to ensure all the stolen funds are recovered.

However, Kingi slammed the DP, Sunday, and warned him against interfering with operations in the County.

He accused Ruto of double standards, saying he has failed to ensure zero corruption in the national government.

According to the ODM governor, Ruto is yet to ensure those linked to the Sh1.8 billion NYS scam, Eurobond scam, over Sh3.2 billion Afya House scam, Standard Gauge Railway and the Chicken Gate scam are prosecuted and jailed.

"Ruto should not lecture me on matters of corruption. He can not lecture me on how to fight corruption in my County yet his government is tainted with variuos corruption scandals. I know how to run Kilifi. So he should stop,'' Kingi said, Sunday.

He further indicated Sh8 million has been recovered from the stolen cash and assured that investigations are underway to prosecute the culprits.

Kingi was speaking in Mtwapa, Mombasa County, when he met his Kilifi supporter, alongside Mombasa governor Ali Joho.
