Speaking in Mandera Town on Tuesday, Roba urged the Francis ole Kaparo led commission not to spare any politician or Kenyan found spewing divisive politics.

According to the governor, the country is heading to a sensitive election period where hate mongers must be dealt with accruing to the law.

"It is unfortunate that most politicians have not learned from the 2007/2008 post poll clashes and are making statements that could plug the country to violence again," he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Roba said that most politicians are not interested in spearheading peaceful campaigns and are only concerned with their selfish interests.

Meanwhile, Roba has asked the NCIC to roll out peace programs in areas classified as volatile. He said that some regions in the country are yet to unite and reconcile after the after-math of the disputed 2007/2008 post poll chaos that led to deaths of over 1,000 Kenyans, destruction property and displacement of locals.

Meanwhile, Roba has called on security agencies to heighten security especially on the country’s borders. He said that criminal and terror agents might take advantage of the forthcoming polls to scare Kenyans.
