Juja lawmaker Francis Munyua wants politicians left out of the Jubilee campaign teams not to panic.
The MP says that there is no need for an alarm over the list of Jubilee campaign team’s unveiled two weeks ago.
Munyua says that those elected to lead Uhuru’s campaigns are only serving on temporary terms.
Speaking at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Gachororo, Juja on Sunday,Munyua said that party supporters have powers to reject campaign team members who will serve their own interests at the expense of the Jubilee Party.
“I don’t see anything to worry about the Jubilee campaign teams list because members of the campaign teams are serving on temporary conditions,” he said.
Munyua, however, asked those selected to lead the campaigns to ensure that they work with all leaders in their respective regions.
He said that Jubilee party serves the interests of all Kenyans.
The MP added that whether on the list or not Jubilee politicians must work had to ensure President Uhuru is re-elected in 2017.
The Jubilee campaign teams unveiled two weeks ago is causing jitters among politicians who feel they were left out.
In Kiambu, for instance, a section of politicians eyeing seats have faulted the Jubilee campaign teams saying that non-aspirants should have been selected to lead the campaigns.
Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a was selected to lead the Jubilee campaigns in Kiambu county.
A section of MCAs in the county have vowed to support her as she coordinates the campaigns.
On Friday key politicians in Kiambu failed to attend a meeting she (Ng’ang’a) had organised to plan on how the Jubilee campaigns will be carried out. The meeting at La Mada hotel in Nairobi hotel was only attended by a few MCAs.
