Machakos Gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti has asked her supporters not to pay attention to ‘fake’ and malicious opinion polls being released by some pollster companies.
Speaking in Kathiani Town on Thursday, Ndeti said that her quest to unseat Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua will not be frustrated by fake opinion poll ratings.
The aspirant asked her supporters to stand firm ahead of the August 8 general election by ignoring fake poll ratings.
Wavinya stated that the agenda she has for Machakos people cannot be influenced or changed by opinion polls.
According to the Chama Cha Uzelendo (CCU) Party leader, she has a strategy that will transform Machakos County if elected governor in August.
On Wednesday Ndeti rubbished Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) opinion poll that rated Governor Mutua as the most preferred candidate for Machakos governor seat in the August polls.
The former Kathiani MP termed the TIFA poll rating as ‘nonsense’.
The TIFA survey released on Tuesday indicated that Governor Mutua enjoys locals support at 75 per cent compared to Wavinya’s 8 per cent.
The poll rated Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala at 7 per cent.
Kiala has also trashed the survey accusing pollster companies of allegedly faking opinion ratings for selfish gains.
