Nyando MP Fred Outa said the killing of the late MP should mark the turning point in resolving mysterious assassinations in the country.

Outa said many Kenyans have been murdered in similar circumstances and their deaths are still shrouded in mystery.

“Let the death of Muchai not be like other deaths we have witnessed and killers not yet known, the government must get to the bottom of this,” he said.

He said the Jubilee coalition government must stamp their authority and addresses the runaway insecurity across the country.

Outa said it remains unfortunate that a guarded VIP in the country can be killed within the city centre.

He said the killers must be found and motive of the chilling killing known.

Addressing the press in Kisumu, the MP called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to take charge of security matters in the country.

He further warned the government against forcing teachers to go back to class in North Eastern where they have expressed their fears as a result of insecurity.

Outa said the weekend shooting of the former Kabete MP gives the North Eastern teachers more fear that their lives will be at risk if they return to class.

“Our teachers are in fear and the government must give them that assurance that their security will be guaranteed before they return,” he said.
