Mwingi North MP John Munuve has cautioned Narc Party leader Charity Ngilu against working with or supporting the National Super Alliance (NASA).
According to Munuve, Ngilu will be sacrificing his political career if she is lured to NASA.
Addressing supporters in Ngomeni Ward on Tuesday, the Wiper rebel MP warned Ngilu saying that NASA has no agenda for Kenyans.
The MP also claimed that NASA will only use Ngilu to get Kamba votes and later dump her.
“Ngilu should re-consider her decision to support NASA if she wants to remain relevant in politics,” he said as quoted by the Star.
The Mwingi North MP claimed that NASA is only interested in getting the Ukambani votes and does not have the interests of the community at heart.
Munuve urged Ngilu to consider working with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.
“Ngiulu should forget the past and join the winning team (Jubilee),” he said. The MP stated that Ukambani is ready to vote for Uhuru’s re-election in the August 8 general election.
Last week, Ngilu announced that she will support NASA if Kalonzo is made the Alliance presidential flag bearer.
The former Lands Cabinet Secretary (CS) said that Ukambani will deliver 2 Million votes to NASA on condition that Kalonzo is endorsed as the Alliance presidential flag bearer in the August 8 general election.
A section of Kamba politicians has since dismissed Ngilu’s support for NASA saying that it is based on selfish interests.
In 2013, Ngilu contested for the Kitui senatorial seat losing to incumbent David Musila. The Narc Party leader was hovered appointed Lands cabinet Secretary by Jubilee government.
In 2015, Ngilu was suspended and later sacked by President Kenyatta over corruption allegations.
The Narc leader has since been cleared of the corruption allegations and is now contesting for the Kitui gubernatorial seat.
Sources say that the Narc leader will soon pen down a pre-election pact with NASA in readiness for the August 8 polls.
