Iyabe Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), John Obara, has called upon youths in the area to search for jobs in the county instead of migrating to Nairobi.
Addressing the youth in his ward, Obara said the county has got more opportunities compared to the highly populated capital city, Nairobi.
"There is no need of going to Nairobi to search for a job while you can get the same job here in the county. At the same time you can start a business at county level which is cheap compared to Nairobi,” said Obara who added that there is a lot of an touched resources at the county level.
He also noted that the county has funds, strictly set aside for youths and women and it needs to be borrowed for personal economic empowerment.
“The county is ready to fund any business project that will bring out an income to the youth. We want our young men and women to be entrepreneurs and know how to make their own money and create jobs instead of looking for job,” added Obara.
