Nyamira senator Kennedy Mongare has received strong admonition from Senate Majority leader Kithure Kindiki over his recent move to draft an impeachment motion against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kindiki argued that Jubilee members in the National Assembly and Senate will see to it that the motion goes nowhere.
The speaker on Friday said that the move by Mong'are is aimed at getting political attention and not to tackle substantial political issues.
"I advise my brother to busy himself with realistic political activities and not fantasy. Such ideas are cheap, mischievous and calculated to seek my colleague the attention he lacks but craves for now that he has said he wants to be the President”, he said on Friday.
Mong'are claims that the president needs to be impeached for the deaths being caused by the ongoing doctors strike where he claims Uhuru’s government is doing nothing to help the poor citizens.
