The National Super Alliance ( NASA ) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has asked all married women to ensure they abstain from sex on the eve of the August 8 elections.
Speaking at Kakamega's Bukhungu stadium where the NASA Opposition launched their presidential campaign, Raila told women to not allow their husbands to move closer to them on the said night as it will be key to the preparedness for the voting day.
He said that in that period, young men should be out securing the voting areas and urging others to go and vote.
Raila said NASA has hatched a plan to get at least five people comprising of a woman, a man and a youth at every polling station to help with the parallel tallying of votes.
He added that the teams will work to ensure a higher voter turnout to guarantee the Opposition victory and that they will be given copies of the voter register to help monitor who turns out to vote.
