NASA co-principal Moses Weatangula has asked Kenyans to ignore Deputy president William Ruto’s criticisim on opposition following their appointments at the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) positions.

His sentiments came a day after Ruto took issue with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son, Kennedy Musyoka, after Wiper party nominated him to the regional house.

The DP accused the NASA co-principal, Kalonzo, of nepotism.

In a statement on Friday, Wetangula said that all appointments of the opposition nominees were procedural.

The Ford Kenya party leader accused Ruto of taking sides when it comes to appointments of politicians kingpins and yet his government has employed their relatives.

“We find it disturbing that Ruto has seen nothing wrong with and has never find it necessary to condemn the unilateral appointments by Jubilee,” said Wetangula.

“In addition, children and relatives of the president and his deputy (are) are posted in our foreign missions for no special qualifications other than kinship.”

He wondered why Jubilee party had cleared a former Cabinet Secretary to vie for governorship despite her being accused of corruption yet Ruto and Uhuru remained silent on the issue.

“The person who pulled the NYS scam is an accepted member of the Jubilee inner circles and has been cleared by the party to run for governor,” Wetangule noted.

“We advise Kenyans not take Ruto seriously,” he added.
