Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has called on  IEBC not to use the issues raised in a memo that leaked to the electoral body's CEO Ezra Chiloba to delay polls slated for October, 17.

According to the MP, the leaked memo has nothing to do with October, 17 presidential polls.

"We don't care about that memo. We want to be told whether the electoral body is ready to hold an election and what mechanisms they have put in place to ensure the process is successful", said Duale.

The National Assembly majority leader noted that IEBC must call a meeting with all stakeholders to listen to all their concerns.

"Let NASA and Jubilee sit in this meeting and raise any matter to avoid rumor mongering and lack of trust in IEBC", he said.

The vocal MP added that IEBC should not take commands from either NASA or Jubilee on matters concerning elections.

Duale was speaking to journalists at Parliament on Friday.
