The county boss, who was referring to his rival Ali Korane, said that aspirants who think that they will take advantage of their clans to rise to power in the upcoming polls are in for a rude shock when that time comes.

The incumbent governor said that seasoned politicians who think that they will ride on their clans back to ascend to power are not lucky this time round as we head to the polls.

“We know some of them and the positions they held while in government. There is nothing to be admired or to said about them, only controversies. Voters are wiser based on the primaries, where the seasoned politicians were voted out. We shall witness a similar scenario on August 8,” he said, as quoted by Star.

The governor, who spoke during the commissioning of the Bura Water Extension Project also said that his government has shown commitment towards the provision of amenities as well as improvement of infrastructure since he took over leadership four years ago.
