Speaking during launch of the piped water project in Musumaa School on Tuesday, he stated that people still languish in poverty after voting in irresponsible leaders.

"All I ask our people is to elect leaders who are loud in fighting for their people's rights and who have shown action by bringing developmens to our wards," said Mwanza.

Mwanza, further challenged the parents who had attended the launch to make a decision of not voting in leaders who had turned down development requests and were unavailable to their people whenever they were called upon to help.

"Its very sad that our women and children have had to walk kilometres away to look for water while a project like this only needs dedication and a few funds to change our lives," he added.

The youth leader has facilitated funding for the piped water project in the school which is aimed at ensuring the school gets access to clean water instead of students walking distances to fetch water.

This comes a week after residents of Masinga sub-county woke up to destroyed billboards of Machakos Governor by unknown people who stated the information provided was not false.

Governor Mutua has been accused by his opponents of making false promises.
