Nairobi Women-rep Rachel Shebesh has asked the Luhya community to shun the opposition and instead work with the Jubilee government to improve the lives of the people.
While addressing a Women for Women Movement gathering at the Apokor Youth Polytechnic in Busia County on Monday, Ms Shebesh pumped support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto ahead of the 2017 general elections.
She accused the opposition of politicizing everything and tainting the government's name through 'imaginary' scandals.
"I know I am in an ODM zone but I have to tell you the naked truth," Shebesh said. "(They) are very alert since they are young and they should be given another chance to lead,” she said.
Shebesh added that the opposition has no force to scare the government and that they will continue traversing the nation for Jubilee's vote.
“We want to move to Jubilee with the rest of the country starting with Busia county. We shall not be shaken,” she added.
