Deputy President William Ruto has cautioned politicians against what he termed as regional zoning, insisting that the practice has led to stunted rates of development in parts of the country.
Speaking on Friday, Ruto said that marking certain areas as political strongholds of certain leaders, ethnic groups and parties has contributed to a lot of resistance to development projects.
He said the Jubilee government was committed to providing quality services to Kenyans regardless of their political affiliations.
Ruto further asked the residents to join Jubilee Party, saying that it was committed to uniting the country and steering development projects to all regions in Kenya.
He spoke this during his public stopovers in Morlem, Lokori, Lokichar, Lorogon and Turkwel in Turkana county.
The DP was in the county to mobilise residents to register as voters ahead of the August 8 general elections.
