Family and friends of a 24 year old man are in agony after he reportedly took his own life in his house at Nyabigege village Chitago Sub County on Wednesday morning barely few months after his father also committed suicide.
The man Identified as Steven Kombo was found by his elder brother, Julius Kombo dangling from in his ceiling in what appeared to be a self inflicted death after police found a suicide note at the scene of the incident.
Confirming the incident, the OCPC Nyabigege Police station Douglas Cheruiyot said investigations to determine the circumstances under which the man opted to commit suicide were launched and they will do some investigation if he was hanged or he decided to take his own life.
“The death of Steven is a mystery though first indication show that he committed suicide we will give a definite report after the investigations are over,” said Douglas.
According to his brother Julius Kombo beside his brother’s body were a suicide note to them and the family informing them that he had to end his life but the reasons behind his decision were not clarified in the letter and they would like the police to investigate the reasons behind his suicide.
This comes barely days after his father committed suicide in less than one year time and the reasons behind his suicide were not clearly established.
