Machakos Governor and leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap movement Wednesday offered his rival Kalonzo Musyoka a ride from the venue of Ntimama's funeral service, Narok South constituency one kilometre away where their helicopters had been parked.
The light downpour seemingly offered an opportunity for the two Ukambani political kingpins to share an umbrella and a ride as they engaged in some talk immediately after alighting from the vehicle before Musyoka hopped into his helicopter which was parked a few metres away.
Musyoka and Mutua have not shared a platform in the recent past due to what observers say is their political differences revolving around Wiper and Maendeleo Chap Chap.
Governor Mutua said the sharing of the vehicle was a gesture of brotherhood adding that both leaders have respect for each other insisting that politics of hate and division have no room in this age and time.
"Yes, we shared a ride and an umbrella. That’s all,” said Mutua. The Governor’s Press Secretary and Communications Director Mutinda Mwanzia termed the meeting ”usual.”
The Machakos Governor who was warmly received in Narok said that his focus was to offer transformative leadership which was issue and development based.
