DP hits out on politicians realigning themselves for 2022
Deputy President William Ruto has hit out on politicians realigning them on the 2022 politics.
He said they should now concentrate on making the lives of Kenyans better and wait for 2022 where they will start politicking.
“It is sad that every day what you watch and hear in our print and broadcast media is politics, for heaven sake politics is now gone and let us concentrate on development. We will cross the 2022 bridge when we reach there,” he said at Chesta Teachers' Training College graduation ceremony in West Pokot County, Friday.
“As leaders, we should now find ways of ensuring that the Jubilee big four agenda is achieved to the latter that is the only thing that we can discuss,” the deputy president added.
He reiterated that their agenda as the government is to fulfill the pledges they made to the electorates during the electioneering period and not the debate of who will get what post in 2022.
The deputy President, however, urged Kenyans to maintain peace at whatever cost and avoid politicians who want to divide them based on their political and tribal cocoons.
“Let us forget what happened during the hotly contested presidential elections and embrace each other as brothers and sister,” noted the Jubilee party deputy leader.
