Deputy President William Ruto has asked Opposition leader Raila Odinga to stop his supporters from attacking IEBC officials.
Ruto noted that Raila's calls for nationwide demonstrations on election day are ill-advised.
“Mr Raila Odinga must stop his supporters, followers and family members in meting out violence against election officials in Nyanza because Nyanza is Kenya,” he stated.
The DP further challenged NASA supporters not to disrupt the October 26 polls, arguing that it would be a contravention of other people's rights.
“If you are not ready to go to the election that is your right, but you should also respect our right to vote,” he said.
Mr Odinga has since called for countrywide demonstrations, in Opposition of the repeat elections.
The former Prime Minister pulled out of the presidential race, citing lack of electoral reforms within IEBC.
