The strong defenders of the DP were heckled , jeered and shouted down over the maize scandal at the National Cereals and Produce Board.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who had previously rubbished some area MPs who had condemned the rot at NCPB was among the leaders who were heckled.

Other legislators included Senator Margaret Kamar, William Chepkut (Ainabkoi), Vincent Tuwei (Mosop), Silas Tiren (Moiben) and Caleb Kositany (Soy). The leaders had a hard time addressing the who had gathered at Teachers Advisory Center in Eldoret on Monday.

“Leave the matter with DCI and investigators to deal with it…mentioning of people’s names is what I am against,” Sudi .

The farmers argued that the leaders  had derailed and never fought for them to be paid and instead he had decided to attack fellow legislators who had been vocal in calling for stern action against those involved in stealing public money.
