Slightly 24 hours before his grand tour to Nyamira, a section of youths have vowed to barricade road leading to Nyangori water project to make it inaccessible for DP William Ruto.
In the tour, Ruto is expected to launch the multi-million water project before relaunching nearby Kemera-Amabuko road.
But the youths mainly allied to ODM now claims the DP is hoodwinking locals by relying on projects funded by well-wishers.
"He is not welcome in this region. The water project was funded by ADB bank and it is insincere foe him to take credit.
"We shall barricade the road until he tells us of new projects. Even the raod he wants to relaunch is not a new project. Let him come with new things," said Douglas Maati, the ODM Youth League chair in Kitutu Masaba.
Earlier on Sunday, former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire raised similar concerns, insisting that all the projects had been launched before.
"He is lying to the people. ADB funded the project and the road had been commissioned long time ago. There is nothing new he is coming to do," he said.
Area MP Shadrack Mose had on Friday defended the DP's tour insisting that it would give locals an opportunity to push for more government funded projects.
