Deputy President William Ruto had yet again another day to forget in Kilifi on Tuesday as angry youths denied him an opportunity to address locals.
Though synonymous in his campaigns, Ruto however ignored the heckling and delivered his speech although in few minutes time.
In what is viewed as a rebellion to his alleged dictatorship nature, Ruto has hard tough times campaigning in the country and at some point, he seemed to admit that a section of Kenyans hate him.
“If you say I am bad, it will be justice if you elect Uhuru Kenyatta then I sort my issues in 2022,” he said at a rally in Meru early this month.
Last week, he was forced to abandon his speech in Kisumu when locals heckled him repeatedly when he tried to address them, a complete contrast of Uhuru’s reception in the region.
At Mtwapa, Ruto had launched an onslaught against Mombasa governor Hassan Joho, whom he called ‘unlearned’, a reason probably behind his woes at the coast.
The rowdy youths who were in Jubilee T-Shirts evident in a video footage circulating online, shows DP Ruto trying to persuade them to allow him speak but all in vein.
Some of the regions where Ruto has faced similar reception include Elgeyo-Marakwet, Baringo and parts of Kericho County.
