Deputy President William Ruto has called on leaders to focus on development rather than last year's elections.
In a message posted on his Twitter handle on Thursday, the DP called on leaders to channel their energy, time and craft on serving Kenyans.
Ruto further wants leaders to break barriers of political differences and only focus on development.
"We must put the politics of last year's elections behind us and dedicate our energy, time and craft to serving the people. The onus is on all leaders to shoulder the responsibility of leadership by breaking the barriers of political differences and focusing on development," reiterated the DP in the tweet.
The Dp's remarks comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta's campaign company, Cambridge Analytica (CA), has been accused of allegedly influencing last year's election.
An investigation into the company's by Britain’s Channel 4 News exposes how influenced last year's election by painting Uhuru in positive light while doing the opposite for his rival Raila Odinga.
"We have rebranded the entire party twice, written their manifesto, done two rounds of 50,000 or so surveys… Then we’d write all the speeches, and we’d stage the whole thing. So just about every element of his campaign," reiterated CA's Political Global MD Mark Turnbull as quoted by Nation.
