[Photo/DPPS]Deputy President William Ruto has asked opposition politicians elected in parties allied to the National Super Alliance (Nasa) during the August 8 polls to step down.Ruto said they should resign since Nasa has no confidence with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).The DP wondered why opposition MPs, governors and MCA's had taken oath of office yet the elections were conducted by the same body they are now attacking.“We have Nasa MPs, Governors and MCAs who were elected and it was IEBC which managed the elections. Why are they now saying they have no faith in the same body that made them who they are now? They should resign and seek fresh mandate from the electorate if they have no faith in IEBC,” said Ruto.Speaking on Tuesday during a meet-the-people tour of Ongata Rongai, Kiserian and Ngong in Kajiado county, Ruto noted Jubilee party is ready for the October 17 repeat poll unlike Nasa.He further expressed confidence that they will defeat Nasa by a huge margin.“We will beat the Opposition just like the way we beat in August 8. In fact, we will double or triple our votes,” he said.
