Deputy President William Ruto has warned Opposition chief Raila Odinga against threatening a section of IEBC officials ahead of the October 17 repeat polls.
Speaking in Bunadi village, Busia County, Ruto noted that the constitution has laid down legal frameworks for the removal of officials working within the electoral agency.
"How do you take pride in [scaring] a small boy in the name of [IEBC chief executive] Ezra Chiloba instead of engaging your peers?" He posed.
Ruto further warned that the country will not be held ransom by the Opposition after NASA threatened to stop the upcoming repeat polls should IEBC fail to take into consideration a wide range of demands the coalition has laid.
"This man cannot be superior enough to hold the country at ransom by stopping an election. He is just an impossible dream," he said.
"The right of every Kenyan to vote is not negotiable. We do not care...but we believe Kenyans will go to the polls," he added.
