Cleverly coining Governor Isaac Rutto’s Chama Cha Mashinani party which has reportedly been giving Jubilee Party headache in Rift Valley, Ruto said the party was doomed to fail.

“I hear that there is Chama Cha Mashimoni here and that they are working with opposition,” said Ruto adding that the party was enemy to development in the region.

“Jubilee has improved infrastructure and we have also bettered education and electricity supply,” added Ruto, insisting that he would use all resources at disposal to ‘teach’ Governor Rutto a lesson.

Even though he avoided mentioning Rutto’s name, the DP repeatedly referred him as ‘Yule jamaa ya Mkutano utakwisha’.

It loosely translates to: “That person who threatened to terminate my meeting.”

Last year, the two political protagonist shared platform in Bomet and supporters allied to DP jeered the Governor, who in return threatened to end the meeting.

Understandably though, Governor Rutto gave Saturday’s rally a wide berth after having warned Ruto on Friday against dragging his name in the rally.
