Deputy President William Ruto has called on Kilifi county residents to elect Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro for governor.
Mung'aro is seeking to unseat the incumbent governor Amason Kingi on Jubilee Party ticket.
Speaking on Wednesday during his tour of the Coastal region, Ruto noted that the Jubilee administration was keen to work closely with local leaders for the region to realize meaningful development.
He further drummed up support for the reelection of the Jubilee administration, observing that the residents stands to gain a lot through the outfit's leadership.
“All these developments are aimed at improving the living standards in the area and make the coast region the hub of tourism,” the DP said.
“That is why we want to journey with you through Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro in developing the region," he added.
