For the second time in as many days, President Uhuru Kenyatta witnessed his deputy William Ruto face hostility from locals in his home turf over unfulfilled Jubilee promises.

The two have been traversing in the former Rift Valley province where the DP is facing rebellion from a section of leaders led by Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.

And at Kericho town on Thursday, Ruto was forced to literally cut short his speech when disenthralled locals chanted anti Jubilee songs in favour of opposition NASA.

Interestingly, things went out of his control when he yet again backed Ainamoi Jubilee MP Aspirant Sylvanus Maritim over his main rival Benjamin Lagat who is vying as an independent.

Unlike President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ruto has been challenging Jubilee supporters to vote only candidates from the party in all positions.

With disgruntled supporters heckling him, Ruto was forced to handover to Kenyatta who only focused on drumming support for his reelection.

On Monday at Iten, Ruto encountered similar hostility when he backed local governor Alex Tolgos as angry supporters reverted to chanting pro-NASA slogans.
