War of words between Deputy President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga has taken a new shape after the later launched yet another scathing attack on the opposition leaders.
With only two months to elections, both sides of political divide are making use of every little opportunity available to discredit each other.
And on Thursday as Trans Nzoia, Ruto accused opposition team of lacking a strategy and urged locals to give Jubilee leadership another term in office.
“These people have nothing new to tell us. They keep on saying Jubilee is bad yet they failed while in government,” he said.
The charged Ruto added: “He (Odinga) in riddles and now he are good as Mpira hapa Mpira Huko. He has nothing to offer to the country’s leadership.”
Odinga is synonymous with his riddles and football commentary when addressing his enthusiast followers in public gatherings.
A recent opinion poll by Ipsos synovate showed that Odinga’s influence in Ruto’s Rift Valley backyard has significantly improved from initial 20 percent to 32 percent at the moment.
