The deputy president William Ruto has been lauded for visiting Kisii county to raise funds for the Lutheran Church of Kenya and bodaboda operators in Bobasi constituency.

According to Kisii residents, bodaboda operators led by Bobasi Mp Steven Manoti, they lauded DP Ruto for visiting the county and promised to work with him hand-in-hand to promote more development.

Manoti said Ruto is always open in developing the country and said he has contributed a lot in various sectors and asked Kisii residents to join together to support the jubilee government.

“DP Ruto is interested in development so let us join and support the current government to gain more from it,” said Manoti.

Ruto promised Sh1.5 billion development projects in Gusii region starting in May this year

Among the projects, Ruto promised to launch is the construction of 150 km road, milk cooling plants and provision of state-of-the-art medical equipment.

5.1 million shillings Collected in the fundraiser that was conducted by the DP.

Ruto contributed Sh1.5 million while President Kenyatta sent Sh1000,000 and Bobasi Mp Steven Manoti contributed Sh600,000.
