Deputy President William Ruto is using the Kalenjin community to advance his selfish interests at the expense of development in the Rift Valley, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.

This was in reference to DP Ruto’s ambition to ascend to presidency in 2022.

"We trusted the Deputy President but he has taken for granted the trust and has now turned the support to bargain for selfish interest," the governor said.

Governor Ruto said his Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Party was an alternative voice for the Kipsigis community.

The CCM party leader has recently accused the DP of using state organs to undermine him.
